Holy craparoli I’ve been busy lately. It’s been good though. I like it, quite very much. It keeps my mind from wandering.
The show Sunday night went extra fantastic. It was quite the Colorado reunion, with Jonny (Bareback) Duffield and his bro David, John John, Carissa, Brittany, Austin, Matt, and Cade. That’s lots of Colorado people to be at one place at one time. And Lauren’s cousins even came out! I would have really laid a mean guilt trip if they didn’t, considering they live 2 blocks from the venue. I think Steph took some pictures and videos, maybe I can post them up here if she sends them to me.
And Leo played a killer set. It’s so funny seeing Jonathan play the drums, but he’s gotten pretty good.
This other group that played, the Dead Superheroes Orchestra, was fricken interesting. It was like Jimmy Gnecco from ours backed by only a string section. Pretty dark stuff, but pretty good still. (obviously the dude wasn’t even half as good as Jimmy Gnecco, but he’s practically god, so…)
Had a good time with Jeromeo last night at Lilly’s, looks like that’s our new Monday spot. I think it’s gonna turn into something extra good, once the word gets around. We hit the ol’ Tonic Room after, and it was actually pretty fun. It’s always hit or miss, but last night was one of those vacant nights that turned into a “hey, do you know this song? Come sing it, and you, play the conga” type of night. Jerome knocked out a fucking impressive version of What’s Goin’ On?.
I drank too much beer, and didn’t eat dinner. That was a bad combination. I was working on my bike, and became very distracted by that task. I think I need a new cable to the rear derailer. I did get the front derailer off without any problems though, which was good. I was worried about that.
So, too much beer, and heavy beer, and no food. In fact, all I ate yesterday was a sandwich at lunch. I was practically starving myself. And the beer, and a rolled cigarette, was not the dinner of champs, and left me hurting all night, I could not sleep well at all. My poor little stomach wanted something other then liquid and hops and alcohol.
In other news…
I saw Eisley Friday night, and they rock an L of alot more then I expected. And the blonde guitar girl was an L of alot hotter than I expected. It was probably just the meaty guitar riffs she was playing.
All The Real Girls is one of the best movies I’ve seen in quite a while, but then again I say that after every good movie I see. It’s DEFINITELY worth seeing, so many classic scenes, beautiful and hilarious all at once.
I have so much work to do before I leave Thursday afternoon.
